Woman, Sister-in-Law Found Dead in NJ Hotel

Police have identified two women who were found dead in a Pleasantville, New Jersey hotel over the weekend.

On Saturday at 3:47 p.m. police were called to the Best Western Hotel on West Black horse Pike for a report of two unconscious females. When they arrived they found the two victims, identified as 57-year-old Concepcion Acal of Brick, New Jersey and her sister-in-law 49-year-old Karen Acal, also of Brick, New Jersey, inside a hotel room. Both women were registered guests at the hotel, according to officials.

Responding medics were unable to revive the women and they were both pronounced dead at 4:48 p.m.

An autopsy was performed on the victims. Investigators found no signs of foul play and say the case is being investigated as a dual suicide. They have not yet determined an exact cause of death.
