A woman fell eight stories to her death this morning.
The woman, who was in her 30s, fell just before daybreak from a window on the top floor of the Marine Club Condominiums at S Broad Street and Washington Avenue in South Philadelphia.
The woman landed in a courtyard at the condo complex. A window above where she fell was open and some of the blinds appeared to be bent outwards.
It wasn’t immediately clear how the woman wound up going out the window.
Philadelphia Police blocked off part of Washington Avenue as they investigated.
A police spokeswoman says that it appeared that the woman killed herself but that the investigation was ongoing.
