Temple Celebrates Ground Breaking for New $170 Million Library

New 215,000 square-foot library will be constructed in the heart of Temple's campus

Temple University is moving forward on a $170 million new library that will be the largest construction project in the history of the school.

A ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday to mark the occasion.

Snøhetta is lead architect of the 215,000-square-foot library. Philadelphia’s Civic Design Review Committee called the design “sophisticated poetry.”
