Police Video: Robbery 5723 Cherry St

On August 3, 2012, at 9:00am, the complainant, a 66 year-old female, entered the Lucky 7 grocery store located at 54 North 57th Street to use the ATM machine. While inside the store an unknown male was captured on surveillance video watching her. After the complainant left the store, the suspect followed the complainant onto the 5700 block of Cherry Street. The suspect grabbed the complainant and started to punch her demanding her money. After taking her purse, which contained an ATM card, the suspect fled on foot leaving the complainant beaten and lying on the ground. Suspect Description: Black male, 30-35 years-of-age, 6’0″-6’2″, 190-200 lbs, dark complexion, dark hooded sweatshirt, black T-shirt, brown cargo shorts and black sneakers.
