Man Sentenced in Couple's Hard-Luck Robbery

A man will spend three to six years in state prison for his role in a hard-luck couple's robbery of a northwestern Pennsylvania convenience store.

The Bradford Era reports 39-year-old Robert Hannon Sr., of Bradford, was sentenced Thursday.

Hannon pleaded guilty last month to robbing the Crosby Mini Mart on Sept. 17 after his wife dropped him off. Alice Hannon is serving 11 to 23 months in the McKean County Jail.

The Hannons told police they had serious financial problems when they agreed to rob the store, but Alice Hannon says she did not know that her husband would also kidnap a female clerk at the store where he formerly worked.

Robert Hannon forced that woman to ride along in her own car, which he used to get away, before dropping her off at a state park.
