A bomb squad unit investigated multiple reports of loud bangs in a South Jersey community early Sunday morning after a blast destroyed a cast iron mailbox.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of Sequoia Road, part of a cul-de-sac near Marlkress Road, in Cherry Hill just after midnight to discover a mailbox had been destroyed with explosives, police said.
No one was hurt in the blast.
No arrests have been made. An investigation is underway.
