A disabled New Jersey Transit train carrying approximately 820 passengers caused delays for commuters heading in and out of New York City.
NJ Transit spokesman John Durso Jr. says the Raritan Valley Line train had left High Bridge for Newark with when it broke down where the line meets the Northeast Corridor Monday. The train blocked two tracks mainly used for westbound trains along the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast and Raritan Valley lines.
Durso says the train was moved by 8:45 a.m., but there were residual delays.
There's no word why the train lost power.
