Tuition Hike at Delaware State University

Tuition at Delaware State University will grow by 3 percent next school year.

School officials announced the change Wednesday.

Room and board costs will remain the same.

President Harry Williams says in a news release that administrators and the university's Board of Trustees worked to minimize the impact of the tuition hike on students and their families.

Williams calls the increase modest, saying it has been two years since the last increase.

Williams says the increase will go toward infrastructure improvements that support student success, including helping students graduate in four years.
