Boy, 15, Rapes Woman at PA Transit Stop: Police

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with raping and beating a woman at a suburban Pittsburgh transit train station after following her from a stop in the city.

The suspect isn't being identified because of his age.

The Port Authority of Allegheny County says the incident happened Monday night at the McNeilly T Station in Baldwin. The boy was arrested Wednesday at a juvenile hearing on an unrelated crime.

Transit police say the boy claimed to have a gun when he grabbed the woman, who was in her 40s, from behind about 10 p.m.

The boy remains at the Shuman Juvenile Detention Center.
