Robber Targets Local Rite Aid: Cops

Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a local Rite Aid last Saturday.

Police are on the hunt for a man who they say robbed a Rite Aid store in Philadelphia.

It happened last Saturday at 8:20 p.m. at the Rite Aid on East Washington Lane. Police say a man armed with a handgun demanded money and cigarettes from a store employee. The employee filled a bag with cigarettes but was unable to open the cash register, according to investigators. The gunman then fled from the store by foot on Washington Lane.

The suspect is described as a medium-built black male in his 20’s standing 5-foot-9 with a beard. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black leather jacket, blue jeans and brown work boots.
