Atlantic City police are searching for a suspect in the sexual assault of a woman early Sunday morning.
According to investigators, the victim was walking to Ventnor from the Trump Plaza Beach Bar around 1:30 a.m. A man began walking with her and tried to “lure her off the boardwalk.”
The man then forced her onto the beach where he sexually assaulted her, police said.
Several witnesses heard the 22-year-old Pennsylvania woman screaming for help, then saw a man run away.
The victim was treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.
The suspect fled on foot.
