Pa. Man Convicted of Harassing Palin is Sentenced

Shawn Christy and his father were charged with making harassing phone calls to Sarah Palin

A 21-year-old Pennsylvania man convicted of harassing Sarah Palin's Alaska lawyers has been sentenced to two years in prison for a probation violation.
 
Shawn Christy of McAdoo, Pa., received credit for time already served.
 
His sentence Wednesday also included one year supervised release on a guilty plea of running from federal authorities in Pennsylvania. Christy was arrested in November for leaving a community re-entry facility before completing his six-month term there.
 
Assistant U.S. Attorney Retta-Rae Randall in Anchorage says Christy has almost a year left to serve.
 
Christy was sentenced last year to five years' probation after he and his father pleaded guilty to making harassing phone calls to Palin's attorneys. .
 
The Christys were accused of threatening the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate and her attorneys.
