Man, Woman, Boy Injured in Car Crash

A man, woman and boy were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Philadelphia Saturday.

A 28-year-old man was driving a 2011 VW Jetta on the 1900 block of W. Lehigh Avenue around 5 p.m. when he struck a white Nissan. The crash caused the Nissan to strike an 11-year-old boy who was walking in the area, according to police.

The male driver and the 52-year-old female driver of the Nissan were both taken to Temple University Hospital. The man was treated for minor injuries while the woman is in critical condition. The boy was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

One of the vehicles involved in the crash also struck a building at 1915 W. Lehigh Avenue, police said. L&I officials are currently at the scene investigating.
