Masked Men Cut Cable, Phone at Cong. Brady's Home

Federal and local investigators are at the Congressman's house right now after men with surgical masks and grey hoodies cut the phone and cable lines, but were scared off by Brady's wife.

Congressman Bob Brady's wife scared off three masked men who may have been trying to break into the couple's home in the Overbrook Farms section of the city.

Debra Brady was watching television Friday afternoon when it happened. She knew something was up, police say, when the TV went dead. Police tell us her phone and cable lines were cut.

"I had the news on and all of a sudden the cable went off," said Debra. "Then I saw three guys walking past my window with hoods up. They went to my patio and I snuck into my kitchen. I stood up and looked over the window and saw two of them sitting at the patio at the table. One of them was looking through the windows. Then they tried to open the screen door to the sliders. When they did that I went right up to the screen door and we were face to face. I started banging on the window. They all looked at each other and they just took off."

They had Grey sweatshirts on with hoods with a red baseball cap underneath the hood," said Debra. "One of them had a surgical mask on. I don't know what that's about."

Nothing was taken from the house or yard and police tell us they do not think Brady's house was targeted for any reason related to him being a politician. They believe it was a random act.
