Is your favorite part of seeing a play or a movie the "post-mortem" at the bar afterwards? As in: "I wouldn't have written it that way," or "that storyline was weak!" Yeah, we thought so.
For those born critics out there, now's your chance to really make your voice heard. Every weekend in March, the Shubin Theater plays host to the Philadelphia Theatre Workshop's 2nd Annual PlayShop Festival. Over the course of three weeks, four new playwrights will be presenting their works-in-progress to an audience that gets to tell the writer exactly what worked (and what didn't) at the end of the performance. Bearing those comments in mind, the playwright will work to fine-tune the piece. Your feedback can make a difference!
All four plays are shown every weekend, the synopses of which are posted on the event website. See one, see them allโฆ and let 'em have it at the end. They really want you to!
