Pitch a Tent and Get All Folk'd Up

If folk music is your thing, then the 48th Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival is where you've got to be this weekend.

Beginning on Thursday, August 13 with a concert featuring Jill Sobule, best known for her Top 20 hit "I Kissed a Girl," Deer Tick and Led Zeplin Tribute band, Get the Led Out, the Folk Fest is a fun camping event for young and old alike.

The weekend continues with day (and night) long performances by over 85 of folk's best.

Take the day off on Monday, because the weekend concludes with a Sunday evening dance showcasing the sounds of Melissa Martin and The Mighty Rhythm Kings featuring The Rockafillys.

The Folk Festival takes place in Landsdale, Pa. Spend a day or pitch a tent for the three day, four night musical mayhem.

Tickets range from $8 for a single evening concert to $181 for all-festival camping (vehicle and tent).
