A Philadelphia man had to be rescued after he became trapped in an apartment complex trash chute Sunday morning.
The man became stuck in the chute inside the Norman Blumberg Apts. along the 2300 block of W. Jefferson Street in North Philadelphia just after 3 a.m., authorities said.
The elderly man was trapped upside down from the 4th floor's chute for over an hour before he was extracted, according to police reports. When authorities arrived, only his feet could be seen.
Luckily, the man was not seriously injured. He is being treated at Temple University Hospital.
