A woman who was shot by a stray bullet that came through her wall while she slept dies of her injuries a day and a half later.
A woman who was shot by a stray bullet that came through the wall of her home while she slept in her bed died of her injuries early Tuesday.
Kathy Ann Stewart, 49, of Chester died 4 a.m. Tuesday, according to Crozier Chester Hospital.
The Delaware County District Attorney’s Office is joining the investigation into the Sunday night shooting.
The stray bullet that may have come from gunfire down the block of West Union and Franklin streets pierced Stewart’s head as she slept on the second floor of her home.
Stewart was hospitalized in critical condition for more than a day but succumbed to the head injury Tuesday morning.
