Former Pennsylvania state Sen. Vince Fumo proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Carolyn Zinni, just days before his sentencing, according to Philly.com.
The Philadelphia Democrat was convicted of a $4 million fraud on the state Senate, a South Philly charity and a Penn’s Landing Museum in March and will face sentencing on July 14.
Fumo, who is out on bail, popped the question on a weekend trip down the shore.
But the question remains -- will the couple wed before his sentencing?
If they do, then Zinni will be in charge of his business affairs while he's locked up. How convenient.
