A turkey thief is on the loose in Bucks County, Pa.

Authorities say a man has been stealing hundreds of dollars in frozen turkeys, hams, shrimp and even a rib roast from several stores.

The guy's hit three supermarkets in Upper and Lower Southampton townships – an ACME on Street Road, Genuardi's on Bustleton Pike and Giant on Second Street Pike.

Each time he fills a cart with the frozen meat and just walks out the door, police said.

"Apparently, there's an accomplice waiting for him outside, they throw the groceries in the back of the truck and they take off," said Lt. Ted Krimmel of Lower Southampton Police.

No one's really sure what the man's doing with the meat, but thoughts of Robin Hood have come to mind.

The turkey thief is described as a middle aged white man, standing about 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing around 220 pounds. He's been seen leaving the shopping centers in both a silver or tan compact car or a 1980s red Dodge truck.

If you see the turkey thief in action, you're asked to call Lower Southampton Police at 215.357.1235.
