Storeowner Gunned Down During Robbery

A local storeowner was gunned down during an apparent robbery gone bad early Sunday morning.

30-year-old Kosai Barouki was shot twice in the chest during a robbery around 2:00 a.m. outside of the Super Wings store in Southwest Philadelphia, according to Philadelphia Police.

Barouki later died from his injuries.

Police said the suspects fled the scene in a light colored van.

Barouki's girlfriend was with the victim at the time of the robbery. She was not hurt.

Police say the couple had just started making wedding plans.
