Accused NoLibs Killer Said to Have Mind of Child

Donte Johnson accused of raping, killing Sabina Rose O'Donnell

Defense attorneys have presented testimony from a neuropsychologist who says a man on trial in the murder of a Philadelphia waitress has the mind of a child.

Video testimony from Gerald Cooke was played Monday in the trial of 20-year-old Donte Johnson, who is accused of having raped and strangled 20-year-old Sabina Rose O'Donnell in June 2010 in the city's Northern Liberties neighborhood.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Cooke said Johnson's IQ is in the 70s and is “basically in that 11- to 12-year-old range” in terms of intellectual functioning.

Investigators say Johnson told police that he killed O'Donnell after she screamed when he tried to steal her bike. Her nude body was found in a vacant lot the next day.

Defense attorneys say Johnson won't take the stand.
