A new report shows that Rowan University is having a major impact on New Jersey's economy.
Econsult Solutions, in a report released this week, says that Rowan has an annual economic impact of more than $1.2 billion in New Jersey, supports roughly 9,200 jobs statewide and generates $19 million in state taxes.
The university contributes to the statewide economy through its undertaking of major capital projects, employment opportunities, attractiveness to outside visitors — and, of course, its educational efforts for students in the area.
