Police Officer Injured in Kensington

The officer was hit in the eye and sustained minor injuries

A 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly injured a Philadelphia police officer in Kensington.

Investigators say the officer was trying to break-up a large crowd in a parking lot at 2nd Street and Lehigh Avenue around 8:44 p.m.

The officer was hit in the eye and sustained minor injuries.

The suspect was arrested after a brief chase.
