A northern New Jersey man has been convicted on several counts stemming from a bar brawl that authorities say ended when he stabbed another man.
Union County prosecutors say 32-year-old Jonathan Ramos-Piedrahita, of Elizabeth, could face more than 10 years in prison when he's sentenced June 26.
A county jury recently found him guilty of two aggravated assault counts and two weapons offenses stemming from the August 2013 brawl in Elizabeth.
Prosecutors say Ramos-Piedrahita and another man got into an argument over a woman, and the altercation soon turned physical. They say he eventually pulled out a knife, stabbed the other man and fled the scene, but was caught by police moments later.
The victim was not seriously injured.
