Longtime KYW business analyst and banker Fred Sherman died Saturday morning according to kyw1060.com.

The man with the distinctive trademark sign-off, “I’m Fred Sherrrrrrman”, died from injuries he suffered in a car accident more than a month ago.

For more than a quarter century Sherman could be seen on local media or heard on the radio delivering his unique financial reports in only the way he could.

Sherman, known to bring high energy on daily stock market commentaries, was fired from KYW Newsradio 1060 in January of this year due the bad economy according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.  Sherman reportedly still wanted to work for free but the station declined the offer.

Fred Sherman turned 86 years old this past June.
