Ex-NJ Firefighter, Son of Councilwoman Wanted on Burglary Charges

A former South Jersey firefighter and son of a local councilwoman is wanted on burglary charges, according to investigators.

NBC10 confirmed a warrant is out for the arrest of Terrence Ward, a former firefighter in Pleasantville, New Jersey who was laid off last year.

Officials told NBC10 Ward is wanted in connection to a burglary investigation in Winslow Township, New Jersey. They did not specify however when or where the alleged burglary took place.

Ward’s mother is Judy Ward, a Pleasantville councilwoman. Councilwoman Ward told NBC10 she had not been aware of the allegations against her son until our reporter Keith Jones informed her Wednesday night.

“I have no comment at this time,” she said in a released statement. “But I do want it known: We love our son. We support him. We don’t believe the charges to be true because of his integrity.”

Councilwoman Ward would not comment on whether or not her son plans on turning himself in. Winslow Township Police told NBC10 they will have more information on the charges against Ward Thursday.
