2 Pedestrians Struck in 2 Separate Crashes

Two pedestrians were hurt after they were struck by vehicles in two separate crashes in Philadelphia Friday morning.

A car hit a man on the South Street Bridge in the University City section of Philly around 7 a.m., according to reports.

The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, according to officials.

Minutes later, an Amoroso box truck hit someone near the intersection of 45th Street and Baltimore Avenue in West Philly, according to authorities.

No word yet on either victims' condition.

The Amoroso truck is undergoing a thorough inspection following the crash, according to investigators.
