Yes, Philly has a Bead Festival. But it's not just any old bead fest, it's the largest bead and jewelry show on the East Coast and it's going on now through Sunday, August 23 at the Valley Forge Convention Center.
So if you love making jewelry and are in serious need of some new beads, head to this three-day event.
Not only does the bead extravaganza boast two enormous floors of more than 325 booths with all the supplies you could ever need to make your own arm, ear and neck candy, it also offers hands-on jewelry making workshops and professionally made jewelry.
To attend any of the workshops, register at the festival. Otherwise, spend the day browsing hundreds of booths and beads for just $10 ($12 for a two-day pass/$14 for three).
