You're already using your text-messaging ability for things that are not exactly helping your love life, i.e. still texting that dead-end date from weeks ago, drunk texting your ex, whining to your friends, etc.
And yes, it's also pathetic that communication among people these days is often limited to 150 characters, instead of actually speaking to the person.
But this is not a time for social commentary! This is time to find you a date. Let's work with what we've got:
Text your way to finding a date Wednesday night at the "Date My Text" event at Prime Lounge, 12th and Sansom streets, above Finn McCool's. Usually a $20 fee to get in, this week it is free to all who come.
Here's how it works: You are given an ID number that replaces your existing phone number. Your ID is randomly matched with another ID in the room. Throughout the evening you and your texting match will partner up in trivia, riddles and games in which everyone in the room participates, and sees eachother's answers.
The unique dating service is for local singles ages 21 to 30 years old. The event is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., but make sure to get there for registration at 6:30 p.m.
