A.I. Practices — Seriously

Iverson should start in 2nd 76ers stint

New/old 76ers guard Allen Iverson actually practiced with the team Sunday and he is expected to start when they play Monday night against Denver.

Iverson practiced with the first team on Sunday. It was the first time he practiced with the Sixers since he was traded in 2006.

The "Answer" actually talked practice after he practiced Sunday.

"It was fun but it was kinda tough," Iverson said after running the court.

Coach Eddie Jordan “anticipates” putting Iverson in the starting lineup, he said.

Who knows how Iverson will look on the court Monday but he at least made an impression on the practice court.

"He made a difference already in practice," Jordan said. "His talking, his presence, being a step ahead of the play defensively."

The fans should be packed into the Wachovia Center when “Allllleeeeennnnnn Iiivvvvvveeeerrrrrsssssssooooonnnnnn” is announced. Only standing-room tickets are left for his return.

Signing Iverson was two-fold – he would help put fannies in the seats while hopefully helping the Sixers out of their funk.

Philly did rank second to last in the NBA in attendance and they lost nine straight games entering Monday.
