Massive Fire at Main Line Mansion

A massive fire destroys a portion of a Delaware County mansion. It took crews hours to battle the heavy flames that were shooting through the roof of the multi-million dollar home on South Ithan Avenue in Villanova. Two people were inside the French chateau-style mansion, but made it out safely. The mansion and grounds were on the market in 2011 for $6.9 million, but neighbors say a family has been renting the property. The cause is still under investigation, but the fire marshal suspects the blaze started near the third floor and swept through the attic. It?s the same area where a fire broke out in 1978.
