Remembering the MOVE Bombing 30 Years Later

It’s been 30 years since the MOVE bombing in Philadelphia on May, 13, 1985. After a standoff with the local black liberation group MOVE, Philadelphia Police dropped two one-pound bombs on the roof of a home on Osage Avenue in Cobbs Creek, killing 11 people including five children, and destroying approximately 65 nearby homes. NBC10 photojournalist Pete Kane was closest to the action during the event 30 years ago. NBC10’s Keith Jones speaks to Pete about his memories of that day.
