Police Video: Gunpoint Robbery 5143 Walnut Street

On May 12, 2012, at 9:00am, employees of the Kontrol Barber and Beauty Salon located at 5143 Walnut Street were in side cutting a customers hair when an unknown male entered the salon armed with a handgun demanding money. Soon after announcing the robbery, a second male entered and both suspects went through the complainants pockets taking a total of $690 in cash along with credit cards and identification. Both suspects the fled the salon on Walnut Street toward 51st Street. Just prior to the robbery the suspects were seen with a third male. The Philadelphia Police Department would like to speak to this individual in reference to his robbery. Suspect Description: Suspect #1: Black male, 5’7″-5’8″, 140-150 lbs, 25-26 years-of-age, dark complexion, mustache, short scruffy hair, wearing light colored Capri pants and a white tee shirt and armed with a handgun. Suspect #2: Black male, 5’7″, husky build, wearing a light colored shirt, dark pants and a red baseball cap with a white shirt wrapped around his face.
