Police stormed a Roxborough home Friday night in search of an assault suspect, who is still on the loose.

Authorities responded to reports that a man with an automatic rifle barricaded himself inside a house on the 400 block of Delmar Street in the northwest Philadelphia neighborhood around 9:30 p.m.

The suspect ran inside the home after allegedly attacking a woman with a baseball bat earlier in the evening, according to reports.

But police say, when they entered the home, the man was gone.

Weapons and a large amount of ammunition in the property were found in the property, according to officials.

The search for the suspect continues.
