A former Montgomery County EMT was arrested in Miami, Florida, on child pornography charges, investigators said. Turns out he also worked at multiple other health agencies, including Temple Health which a spokesperson confirmed. NBC10’s Deanna Durante has more on the investigation.
A 46-year-old former first responder in Montgomery County has been arrested and charged with possessing child sexual assault materials by border patrol agents in Miami, Fla.
According to police, Seneca Trout, 46, of Norristown, was apprehended on Feb. 14, after he returned from a cruise.
At about 12:30 p.m., that day, law enforcement officials said, border patrol agents conducting a search of electronic devices from travelers entering the country found two videos that, they claim, depicted children believed to be between the ages of 12 and 14 engaged in sexual activities with adult men on a cell phone in Trout's possession.
Trout was arrested on the scene and transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County, officials said.

Montgomery County EMT sources tell NBC10 that he has worked in companies from Ambler to Skippack and volunteered at several organizations through out the county over the years.
Officials have said that, in the past, Trout worked both the Perkiomen Valley Ambulance Association and Skippack Emergency Medical Services.
According to officials at the Perkiomen Valley Ambulance Association, Trout has worked as per diem EMT there for the past six years.

Though, they said that, over last two years, he has worked very minimally -- as few as 36 hours in 2023.
Contacted Tuesday, officials at the Skippack Emergency Medical Services sent over a statement noting that Trout has been suspended.
"Seneca Trout has been suspended pending further investigation. We are just learning of the charges against him. Skippack Emergency Medical Services condemns the activity that Mr. Trout has been charged, and we find it inexcusable from any employee or volunteer," the company wrote in a statement.
Skippack officials also said he failed to show up for work several weeks ago and has not been in since.
Trout also worked for Temple Hospital for a very brief period of time, according to Jeremy Walters, a spokesperson for Temple Health.
All employees who work in hospitals are required to pass a state-approved background check and Temple confirmed Trout did pass all his background screenings at that time. They did not say in what capacity he worked there.
Trout has been released on a $10,000 bail and is expected to show up in court early next month.
NBC10 has reached out to Trout's Florida-based defense attorney and they have not yet returned a call for comment.
