Three teenagers were injured in a drive-by shooting near a Philadelphia high school as classes were ending Monday afternoon, police said.

Two brothers, ages 15 and 16, as well as a 17-year-old boy had just gotten out of Simon Gratz High School along the 1700 block of West Hunting Park Avenue around 2:45 p.m. when a burgundy vehicle pulled up next to them. A gunman inside the car then fired at least 13 shots.

"I just pulled up to pick my son up from school," James Murphy, a parent of a student, told NBC10. "I just parked. I heard this pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. I look up and I had to duck right down. A little red car pulled up. Somebody jumped out the back popping. Teenagers I guess. Started running. I don't have to look at nothing but my steering wheel and my floor. You know what I'm saying? Just crazy."

Three students from Simon Gratz High School were shot after dismissal on Monday. NBC10's Johnny Archer has the details.

The two brothers were both shot and taken to Temple University Hospital. One brother is in critical condition while the other is stable. The 17-year-old also suffered a graze wound to his neck. He took the subway home but was taken to the hospital by his mother where he was treated for minor injuries.

No arrests have been made and police have not released information on any suspects. Police said there was at least one other person inside the car besides the gunman.

Mastery Prep Elementary School is also located near where the shooting took place.

Monday’s incident followed a violent weekend in the city in which at least six people were killed in separate shootings. Among the people shot over the weekend were three teenagers who were wounded during a festival at Penn’s Landing, a stretch of waterfront parks and eateries along the Delaware River.
