In a welcome sign that spring is arriving, natural resources officials say the DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve will reopen after its winter hiatus.
The facility, located on Mispillion Harbor at the intersection of the mouths of the Mispillion River and Cedar Creek, will reopen at 10 a.m. April 1.
The DuPont Nature Center features large deck overlooking the harbor. The deck offers wildlife watchers a chance to watch spawning horseshoe crabs and migrating shorebirds.
The center offers interactive exhibits, school tours and educational programs
The center's hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday through Aug. 30.
