Cop Killer Was Also No. 1 Suspect in Cold Case

Andrew Charles Thomas was identified as the suspect in the shooting death of Plymouth Township Officer Brad Fox. Police sources say that Thomas was the No. 1 suspect in the September 1999 disappearance of Maria Procopio. The 34-year-old went missing after leaving her shift at QVC in West Chester, Pa. Thomas was never charged in that case. He had a history of forgery and had been a fugitive for seven years after failing to appear for an arraignment that he used $140 worth of counterfeit Acme gift certificates in 2005, prosecutors said.
