City Councilman Wants to Remove Frank Rizzo Statue

A city councilwoman in Philadelphia saysshe wants to remove the statue of former mayor and police commissioner Frank Rizzo. An online petition to remove the statue calls Rizzo a racist who “tortured” the African American community. The Mayor’s office released a statement saying that now is the right time to discuss the statue’s future.
