Christmas Tree Ignited by Lighter Caused Deadly Fairmount Fire

Officials revealed a Christmas tree ignited by a lighter almost certainly caused the row home fire in Fairmount that killed nine children and three adults. They also said a 5-year-old boy who survived the fire told them he lit the tree though the child’s words weren’t enough evidence for them to deem that the official cause.
