Project Sesame Street
The non-profit behind Sesame Street,Sesame Workshop donated “Food for Thought”: Eating Well on a Budget Kits to St. Christopher’s Hospital and Drexel University’s Center for Hunger-Free communities. Sesame Workshop partnered up with United Health-Care and the The Merck Company Foundation to create an initiative to help families and children between the ages of 2 and 8 survive with limited access to reasonably priced and nutritious food. The Kit included a Sesame Street video featuring Elmo and muppets as they try new food, eating healthy snacks, and learning how to make a meal last for a long time and how to save money when shopping for groceries.
