11-year-old cancer patient receives floods of motivating letters from strangers near and far

Chase Gilchrist is battling ependymoma brain cancer at 11 years old after relapsing six times before. Chase’s mom announced the heartbreaking news on Facebook, asking people to send him cards. Now, Chase opens several letters with words of encouragement every day after school from strangers near and far. NBC10’s Yukare Nakayama shares his story.
