Deficit Supercommittee in “Crunch Time:” Toomey

Twelve member of the U.S. Senate and House are on the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, known as the Supercommittee. They are tasked with finding at least 1.2 trillion dollars to cut from the federal budget, as called for in the Congressional agreement to raise the debt ceiling last July.
