The "Saturday Night Live" star is on her way to the gymnastics competition to root on Simone Biles

    "It's official y'all. I'm in Rio," Leslie Jones declared on Twitter.

    Jones has touched down in Rio de Janerio Thursday afternoon and immediately began live tweeting her trip to the her hotel and then the cab ride to the gymnastics arena to cheer on American favorite Simone Biles, who'll be competing in the individual competition Thursday evening.

    The "SNL" and "Ghostbusters" star has been live tweeting her support of the American athletes since the start of the Olympic games. Her unwavering enthusiasm caught the attention of the executive producer of the NBC Olympics, who reached out and invited her to attend the games in Brazil.

    Jones will be attending the games as a contributor, attending events and meeting with athletes.
