Marissa Bagg is a four-time Emmy® award-winning journalist who has been a reporter at NBC6 since August of 2014.

The Miami native’s broadcast career took her across the country through New Mexico, Texas and Washington state before she returned to South Florida as a reporter with WPTV in West Palm Beach.

She has traveled to cover hurricanes, massive floods and other natural disasters. She was honored to cover the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and traveled to Haiti for the opening of an orphanage built in honor of a Lynn University student killed in the 2010 earthquake.

Marissa is a South Miami High School of the Arts graduate and went on to the University of Florida where she received her Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication News, with a minor in French. Bagg is also an Edward R. Murrow Regional Award winner and is recognized by the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists.

An avid sports fan, she cheers for her home team, the Miami Hurricanes, and her alma mater, the Florida Gators. During football season, you may notice she’s lost her voice.

The biggest perk of her job is working together with her sister, fellow reporter Julia Bagg. Now both moms of three, Marissa and Julia enjoy telling family centered stories through their series, Moms With A Mic.
