Lili Zheng

Lili Zheng joined NBC10 in March 2025 as a general assignment reporter. You can watch her cover a variety of stories on select weekdays and weekends.

Zheng comes to Philadelphia from WTTG-TV, the FOX affiliate in Washington, D.C. where she worked as a freelance reporter covering crime, politics and community issues. Prior to that, Lili was a general assignment reporter at KXAS-TV, the NBC-owned station in Dallas, Texas. Before that, she was a multimedia journalist at KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A proud D.C. native, Zheng is thrilled to return to the region after spending time in different cities across the country. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University, where she was an active member of the Delta Zeta sorority. Zheng is fluent in the Fuzhou dialect of Chinese and has dedicated the past two years to studying Spanish, further expanding her ability to connect with diverse communities.

Reflecting on her return to Philadelphia, Lili shared, “For me, Philadelphia is a second homecoming. I was born in D.C., and it was a privilege to cover the news in my home market, but I consider Philly to be the place I truly ‘grew up’ since I attended Temple University for college. This is a full circle moment from the intern days to now!”

As a reporter, Lili enjoys taking the time to fully understand an issue at hand and break down the complexities/consequences of it, in a way people can understand. She hopes this makes the world an easier place to understand and connect with others. She also hopes it helps people feel seen and heard.

When she’s not reporting the news, Lili enjoys staying active by working out, cooking, trying new recipes, and experimenting with baking.
