HIP-HOP HOMECOMING: Fresh off the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the Roots head back to their roots with a bunch of friends for the Roots Picnic. The event will be at Penn’s Landing and features performances by The Roots, Public Enemy, The Black Keys and TV On The Radio. The show runs from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. and tickets are $47.50 advanced and $51 at the door. For more information, call 215.928.8801.

NKOTB: Jordan, Jonathan, Joey, Donnie and Danny are back to woo the world once more. After disbanding in 1994, New Kids On The Block will finally return to Philly tonight to play at the Susquehanna Bank Center. Tickets start at $32 for lawn seats. TWO ARTIST FOR THE PRICE OF NONE: There is something for everyone at Studio 27.28 when two artists share their various works. Mike Travato is an award winning portrait artist who has sold work to local celebrity Tina Fey. Joe Castro is a Philadelphia based artist, musician, designer and filmmaker.
