The Legislature is preparing to review Gov. Chris Christie's 2016 budget and one area where that could generate some agreement is on drug abuse and addiction services.
It's an issue the governor has elevated among many others. Christie has budgeted more money in 2016 for drug-addiction services and has unveiled a new phone line to help addicts.
Democratic state Sen. Joe Vitale says Christie gets an "A'' for his work on the issue.
But even as Christie wins over political rivals, the tight budget is threatening some programs in the New Jersey.
The long-term treatment facility at the John Brooks Recovery Center is one of them. CEO Alan Oberman says it's a crisis.
