Rain will continue falling over the region Saturday, but though it won’t be too heavy, the fact that it will fall steadily over a long period of time means that there’s a chance of localized flooding. NBC10 First Alert Meteorologist Krystal Klei has your full forecast.
Storms moving over the Philadelphia region Saturday were dumping drenching rain and creating a flash flood risk for some areas.
The NBC10 First Alert Weather Team has issued a First Alert for the entire region – from coastal areas up to the Lehigh Valley – through Saturday afternoon.
A flash flood warning was issued for Philadelphia, Delaware and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania until 4 p.m. Saturday. Another flash flood warning was in effect through 4 p.m. for Gloucester County in New Jersey.
The storms started to arrive Friday afternoon, and severe thunderstorm warnings popped up for central Chester and Northampton counties, Pennsylvania, and Ocean and Burlington counties in New Jersey. They all ended before 6 p.m.

The strongest rain fell late Friday and early Saturday. However, the continued Saturday rainfall was still causing a risk of floods.
The worst of the weather is expected to move out by Saturday evening, but showers will linger into Sunday and Monday.
